Fintech brands carry a lot of surface area. Tipalti's connected finance suite spans accounts payable, global payments, procurement, and employee expenses, and each one has to make sense to a visitor in the first few seconds.

Our work for Tipalti covered content structure, wireframes, visual design, motion, a custom icon set, and a scalable design system for the marketing site. Since launch, the project has earned Special Kudos from CSS Design Awards, a nomination at CSS Winner, Web Design Appreciation from Orpetron, and features in both Abduzeedo and Mindsparkle Mag.

The brief was clarity. Instead of the abstract tech imagery that most payment platforms default to, we used expressive human photography to ground the brand in the people who actually run these workflows. Then we built the rest as components, so a multi-page site with deep product sections could stay consistent as it grows.

Mindsparkle Mag ran the feature under the headline Bringing warmth to fintech, which is about as close to the original brief as an outside read can get. Their piece traced how a clearer information hierarchy and more intuitive navigation help users move across a dense product ecosystem, and how the human imagery softens a technology-first brand without watering it down.

Abduzeedo went deeper on the system itself. The article focused on the modular component architecture, the floating interface cards that surface live payment alerts and status tags, and how the warm yellow accents hold their weight against deep black and clean white modes. It also called out something we spent real time on, which is keeping one design voice running from marketing pages through to the dense product screens.

CSS Design Awards gave the site Special Kudos after a five-judge panel scored it on UI, UX, and innovation.

CSS Winner nominated the project, rating it across design, functionality, usability, and content.

Orpetron followed with a Web Design Appreciation, noting that the redesign gives Tipalti a more human personality without giving up the trust a finance brand needs. The bold photography, custom illustration, and flexible system all got a mention.

Design systems don't usually win applause. Award galleries tend to reward the one-off visual moment, the scroll effect, the hero animation. Tipalti got recognized for the opposite thing: a structure built to hold a complex product story together across hundreds of pages and every screen size. That's the work we're proudest of here.
